1965 was the between year for the Beatles.1964 they conquered America and did an extensive tour.1966 they did their 3rd and final tour. In 1964 America was new to them and they were thrilled by the acceptance by American fans.By 1966 it was no longer new or exciting. Now it was controversy and exhaustion so they decided to end the endless touring, not only of America but Europe and Asia as well. It was time for a second Motion Picture, a follow-up to 1964’s highly successful “A Hard Day’s Night “.The new Movie “Help!” showed influence from James Bond 007 movies. It was in Color and the fans loved it. The soundtrack LP released by Capitol Records displayed the Record company’s disregard for The Beatles and the American fans by putting out an album that contained only half the number of songs featured on the British album.It was released a short 4 months before “Rubber Soul” and was a great mix of songs. The Beatles never stood still. This album is evidence of their willingness to try new things and broaden the scope of Their vision of what a long play album should be.

I love Help! so much! My favorite album by The Beatles is Abbey Road however Help! is my second favorite album by The Beatles! And while Dizzy Miss Lizzy may be my least favorite track on this album, this album just has so many essential songs like the title track Help!, You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away, Ticket To Ride, I’ve Just Seen A Face, Yesterday and many other great tracks! If you haven’t listened to this album yet or in its entirety, then I highly highly recommend you to listen to this essential album Help! by The Beatles!
