#19. Busted (1990) Simply put, there is nothing terribly original about Busted that wasn’t already done better off Lap of Luxury. In fact, it almost seems like these were the leftover ideas from the Lap sessions. It is a paint-by-numbers sequel to a hit album that should have been better, could have been better. Back And Blue, I Can’t Understand It and the title track are good. The video for If You Need Me also made me like that song more than I originally did, however some of the material treads more towards adult contemporary and there’s just not enough rock. Best track: I Can’t Understand It Worst track: When You Need Someone “I set my sights on you. Lets make tonight a deep interview. Don’t you know I’m doing alright on my own.”

I think this is Cheap Trick's weakest album. Nice to see the guys in the band more involved in the songwriting. I also love the song title You Drive, I'll Steer. I don't think there is even one memorable song here. Makes Lap of Luxury sound like a masterpiece. Yeah, you can skip this one.

I lost touch with Cheap trick in the mid 80's, basically after Lap of Luxury, which I thought was kinda lame. I never heard this album before and think it's the best album they made after Dream Police. Many good songs here!

This album is one of my favorites. It is well underrated. This definitely did not receive the attention it deserves. The songs are ridiculously catchy, well-written, and amazingly performed.

Many critics pan this album as a disappointment, but I find it to be a better album than Lap of Luxury, in that it is not a singles album, but an album that can be listened to from beginning to end.
