This is everything you want from the band: crunchy guitars, poppy choruses, and a bit of self-consciouls, corny lyrics sprinkled in for fun. It's Weezer sounding like Weezer and that's never a bad thing.

This time. Around they revisiting the 90’s era that broke them but don’t let that fool you. Weezer still keeps this one fresh, raw and surprisingly not over produced. I feel Rivers lyrics are more emotionally exposed even when he sings about the more mundane day to day events that we all take for granted.
This album surprises me and I have been a fan since the blue album and I’m one of those “I love Pinkerton!” But I’m a ride or die fan so…
This is a very solid album that sounds familiar without being repetitive. Nostalgic for the 90’s is great when done right and Weezer hit that.
