Tokyo Dome Live In Concert

Should have released a live album of the Fair Warning tour.

When I first heard that they were releasing a live album with Diamond Dave I assumed it was pre-1985 but this is actually from 2013. FYI, Dave can't sing anymore. The 2 previews of this (And full verion on VHND Site) are absolutly horrible. This sounds like Drunk Night Karoke at the local Sushi Bar. Seriously, did no one in the Van Halen camp actually listen to this before it's release? Would have been much better to dig in the live archives and pull out material from the golden years, not the nursing home tour. Oh, and Mike’s High vocals are strongly missing and needed to be included to help Dave sound better!

It’s cool to here WVH sing backup vocals and hear the band in a more recent sound! (Only true fans listen to this album).

These guys are in the 60’s and 70’s at the time. The band is unbelievably tight and sound amazing despite Roth’s vocals. It’s rock n roll not opera.

I'm sorry to say it. I think we all dreamed of Dave reuniting with Van Halen, but unfortunately the wait has been way too long and "Diamond Dave" has lost much of his shine. For what it's worth, he's got way more energy and showmanship than many a singer years younger. However, it's not just enough to just be happy to see them back together. A band as a whole has to SOUND good. The band delivers, but the lead singer, the one who fronts the band does not. If this album and their live performances on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel are any indication, you had better save your money. Maybe this one is for nostalgia.

Sorry, but the vocals are so awful I thought I accidentally bought a Van Hagar album. Very disappointing.

Now that Eddie Van Halen is gone it’s hard to believe they went out with Roth the last three tours of their existence because this is the middle of those three tours and he’s already terrible. VH needed to eat crow and get Sammy/Mike back. For a much better live album from 2015 check out Sammy Hagar & The Circle “At Your Service”

My first real rock concert was seeing Van Halen on the 1984 tour. I saw Dave on the Eat Em And Smile tour. Diamond Dave, back in the day, you were THE MAN. Sadly, those days are long gone. This sounds like a drunk doing karaoke to a bootleg Van Halen instrumental show. I love ya man, but it’s over.

Everything from the mix, the strained/off key vocals and the pomp & circumstance are wrong here. VH are undoubtedly a great band, but this live record doesn’t do them or their talents justice.
