This album actually IS worth writing home about, it's a solid effort with a lot of experiments, it's the next thing RDJ is doing. Even a par Aphex Twin album is better than 99.9% of music made on analogue synths in 2014.

High expectations were met. It sounds like a much more advanced version of what richard was doing under the name "the tuss" in the 2000's. i cant wrap my head around this album technically. there is so much modulation happening and you know richard is using tons of analog gear. the guy is a madman.

I don't like this, its really trite and predictable. It's worse than Druqs which wasn't very good but had a couple inventive tracks. This on the other hand is just junk honestly. I don't think Aphex makes music anymore as it sounds like he's just releasing threadworn crap that didn't make it on older albums. To call it uninspired is stating the obvious, more to the point, it's a sad reminder that Richard D. James has nothing left to give us. One request for the artist, please limit your trash releases to a 13 year cycle, thanks.

I had listened this album about five times, trying to figure out the reason this album has been aclaimed as one of the best of 2014. But to me this album has excelent but liveless sounds arragements. I don't feel any emotion listening to this album. On the other hand, i had listened only 2 times the EP Computer Controlled Acoustic instrument, and find it more enjoyable than this one. I will continue to listen to this album, maybe it grows on me later.
