the current market is designed to destroy artist who genuinely love their craft, placing all value into the #s on the charts and profits, and the consequence has been a steady stream of records that lack what differentiates noise vs music. this feels like is a much needed dose of medicine as the music industry becomes more increasingly infected by greed every passing day, while the record labels keep trying to convince us that the industry isn't sick. to helman (and all indie artist!!!), thank you for keeping art alive, and continuing to remind us that music is supposed to do just that, help us feel more alive // more connected // more seen
