Great music. This band is great. Good easy listening music. Could sit and listen with a cup of coffee all morning.

I was lucky enough to see these guys with the Wood Brothers and they were fantastic live. This album is just one of those great albums!

I love this band! I first heard them in Nashville last year at the Americana music awards and festival when they played before Mindy Smith and immediately loved their sound. I love the songwriting and the harmonies and the violin and just the all around feel of their music. It's my favorite thing to listen to right now!

They performed for us at NC State yesterday, singing many of the songs on this album. Great performers (despite the fact that the concert was at 3 o’clock in the afternoon).

Based on their recent NPR Music video I downloaded "This Side of Jordan". I'm really impressed with their harmonies, their playing and their lyrics which feel older than their years but not cliche. I hear glimpses of The Band, Neil Young, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.... I strongly recommend you download "Waltz About Whiskey" play it a few times and then return and download the rest. You'll love it.

This is one excellent album!!!!

I first heard "Waltz About Whiskey" on NPR three days ago, and immediately came to iTunes to check out the rest of Mandolin Orange's offerings. Every song--EVERY SONG-- is beautiful. While the music is laid back and sad at times, it is still uplifting and makes me feel wonderful. The vocals are shared between a male and a female vocalist, and both singers are superb at what they do; she plays guitar and he plays mandolin, and they do so exceptionally well. Piano, fiddle, harmonica and pedal steel guitar round out the foundation of the record, and every second will hold your attention. I imagine Mandolin Orange will be around for a long time; they have the songwriting sense and talent that will fit them snugly in with many of the folk, country and bluegrass greats.
