All these years later and I still don't understand what people see in Foreigner. The music is dull, the lyrics are stupid, the singer is just annoying.
What do you like about this?

Too many greats to mention. Wha t a great band , along the lines of Bad col, andCheap trick and so on...This along with double vision and the third album and then 4, So great !

Their first album and still the best. Each follow-up album seems a little weaker than the previous albumm right on down the line...kind of like Boston.

Although this is one of my favorite Foreigner albums, I don’t think it has stood the test of time very well. Cold As Ice and Feels Like the First Time were big hits and deservedly so, but they have been overplayed on the radio, so much that I can’t enjoy them anymore. There are other great songs here, deeper album cuts like The Damage Is Done, Starrider, At War With The World and I Need You. Lots of catchy guitar riffs and very sing-alongable choruses and amazing singing by Lou Gramm. Mick Jones also sings on a few songs. A cool album.
Deluxe Mistake

They did some strange stuff to a few of these songs, they don’t sound exactly like the songs I grew up with ,and I know and love. Why mess with success? Raised backing vocals and a bass slide that I never heard on the previous 1000 listens of ‘Long way from home’ is one example.

I recommend not buying until Atlantic puts together a proper download release - the single version of Feels Like The First Time feels like a ripoff. The actual LP version is available on the No End In Sight compilation, but you shouldn't have to buy an extra track to actually re-create the proper album. (Not to mention the sligtly altered cover artwork.)

After listening to the previews and reading the reviews, I decided not to download this album. I want the original album, not a meshed together mix of chopped up 45 versions of the singles, the original versions of album cuts, and a bunch of demo versions I'll never listen to.

Starrider was the best song as the daylight ended and the stage lights shined bright. Foreigner rocked!!!
