After listened this woman singing with Ricky Martin in the Black & White tour in Puerto Rico, I said who is her? I was looking for her name to get her music, and my goodness I found Chambao in YouTube and from there I came directly to ITune. What a great music and her voice get deep in my emotions, I love her music and voice, a very good album to buy.

My favourite song in the entire album is Ahi Estas Tú (There you are). Simple lyrics accompanied by melodic, almost balearic, new age flamenco. I had not heard anything this good coming from this Spanish scene since the Gipsy Kings, and it really is nothing like them, Chambao is much more contemporary. La Mari's collaboration with Ricky Martin in his recent Unplugged attracted my attention to this group, and both were definately worth putting in my music collection.

This is very creative. I love it, I don't understand anything she is saying but I love it. Of course it would rob the feel of the music if it ever was translated.

Excellent! They have such a unique sound! Completely transports you to a calm relaxed place. They incorporate ancestral flamenco with modern almost new age rythms. La Mari has an angelic voice which you never tire of. She is so humble, yet incredibly passionate. The group comes together in such a synchronized way, like they've been playing together for milleniums. Buy this Cd, you will not be disappointed! A+++++

This group typically combines a superior soft rock sound with Moroccan influences. Occasionally, their songs have a more typical Spanish/Latin sound. In general, if you like "Desert Rose" by Sting or some of the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan attempts at popular music, you will fall in love with this group. I honestly feel that they are one of the finest groups to the music scene in the last ten years.
This CD is a quasi best of compilation. Great CD to start getting to know Chambao. "Ahi Estas Tu" or "Instinto Humano" are two nice choices.
