These songs, many of them contain affirmations in their lyrics to remain strong in difficult times. Reminiscent of a mighty Viking still standing in a dark and burning battlefield after the battle has been won despite overwhelming odds. Reinforced by the deep drums and base, the strong guttural voices paced with the beats and accompanied by intense lyrics that encourage strength and resilience . These I use as reminders of how strong I have sometimes been in the most difficult times when I didn’t think I would make it, and … even though times are tough, I’m still here.
