It was worth the wait. The record is everything I didn’t know I wanted from Robbie. It definitely takes you back in time with those rocking melodies, and his lyricism is at its best. I can attest that you accomplished your mission, Mr. Williams. This is the album you would’ve made in ’97 if you knew everything you know now.
I should also point out that I was born in ’96, but trust me, this album transported me to that era without having lived in it. I can feel and sense the spirit of the greats that made Britpop one of the most fun times to be alive in the ’90s. Honestly, what a time to exist and experience a bridge between the future and the past.
Take it away, Robbie Williams. We’re going to get you your 16th number one album and break the record for most number one albums in the UK. No monkey business around here. 🐒🎶
