I had high expectations for this one. Preme and Roc Marci?! I just knew this would be good. Roc did his thing but these beats sound and feel like throwaways from '96. I played it through 3 times hoping it will eventually hit me. Didn't work. But I still gave it at least 3 stars just cause it's them.

The album’s not bad, in fact there isn’t a bad cut on the album. But IMO, Premier is stretching his legs too much. Very little chopping, not much kick/snare boom bap. His album with Blaq Poet is the best thing he’s released since the passing of GURU. But it’s Preme’s life, if he wants to grow some, I salute him. In the meantime, I’mma bump some of his older work with Jeru to get that feeling I was hoping for with this album.
