Great calibration with Brandy! They made a great album! Love riding down the road listening to this one, no it’s not your typical Elton Album because it’s a calibration and they wrote some great music together! Love Brandy's song about her daughter letting go of her mom and independence into her world for their first but not last time. Emotional.

Bernie had been begging for a new record for years. This is a Brandi Carlile album with Elton and Bernie as back up. Songs are good, not great. Hopefully a ten song Elton/Bernie record is in the future.
After a few listens. It’s a great record.
Period.

Elton and Brandi blend their voices beautifully…you can tell that this was a labor of love. Overproduced? Maybe at times…but who cares. It’s got energy, beauty and joy at every turn. Go Elton…at 78 he’s got musical sensitivities that most 20 year olds in the business today could only hope for…and he bangs that piano in a way that makes that instrument all his. Go ahead, you magnificent icon…over produce yourself and the great gift you have been to this world for almost 60 years. Bring it on!
