Lucky (Deluxe)

Meg has the rare ability to sign any song but take you with her on the journey. Tennessee Orange is the big hit of course and rightfully so. Bluesy voice is perfect for that piece Lucky can blow the roof off the house no matter if that house is a bar or a football stadium My personal favorites of hers are just Meg and a piano. I can’t put my finger on it but it is just magic. On this album it’s “Mustang or Me” Superb lyrics, soaring vocals just a musical triumph. Been with this woman since a friend shared an early EP with me and her songwriting, vocals and sassiness have her well on her way to country music superstardom!

I cannot emphasize that she is the queen enough

You are truly in for a ride while listening to this album. Starting with I’m Not Pretty and Lucky Going to Kansas Anymore and Girl in the Mirror, Megan does a fantastic job throughout the whole 52 minutes with the idea of this sort of pushing and pulling. Throughout listening she has you wanting to dance and the next minute you want to cry and call your ex back (don’t do it.) The collaborations on this deluxe are the perfect additions to the album. Kameron Marlowe’s vocals for “Fix you Too” made it into a beautiful duet. Moving onto “Nothing Crazy” ft. Mackenzie Carpenter, this song will have you bopping around your living room. I’m excited to see where this one lands on the charts for them, such a fun upbeat song! Lastly, Megan ended the deluxe version with “Reasons to Stay” This is one of my favorite additions as it has such an important message and also debuts one of Megan’s close friends and management team member Alexandra as a songwriter, so amazing!! if you’re looking for an album that tugs on your heartstrings and has people looking at you weirdly when stopped at red lights because you’re dancing in your car…this album is for you 🍀💚🍀💚
