  • Axl Rose’s Chinese Democracy

That’s what the title should have been and it would’ve been a 5 star album but using the GNR name for this, well to me it was and still is blasphemy. Also, all those so called new songs that GNR has released, most if not all have been left overs of this album and I can see why Axl didn’t put them on this album to begin with.

It’s so good it’s ridiculous. It moved the band away from sounding like an 80’s hair band. Axl sounds amazing. It’s their best record by far.

The title track and Shackler's Revenge are great to start off Chinese Democracy, but the majority of the songs that follow are blah. The overall sound is too far removed from the original, and the lyrics didn't catch my attention as with Appetite-Spaghetti Incident. It sounds like it's missing input from Slash, Duff, & Izzy.

Absolutely incredible album. 13/14 are at least rly good, and Riad N’ the Bedouins is meh. There Was a Time and Prostitute, tho, are genuinely on a whole other level in the music world. They’re like their own experiences and worlds, not even just songs. Can’t say enough how much I love it.

Absolutely love this album!! Fantastic deep lyrics and an amazing vocal range all mixed in with careful crafted instrumentals and cutting guitar!

I was never a big guns and Roses fan mostly because of the attitude .which is what made them interesting I guess but that being said when this album came out I was blown away! You can tell why this took so long to produce and putt together it’s almost too polished every song is masterfully crafted and refined , not raw rock and roll but highly polished and a real joy to listen to. This guy can right music I thought he was an arrogant ass that could never right or understand music! I was wrong!! Yes it did take a few years to make this but the final product I believe will be his masterpiece , he will be hard pressed to make anything as good as this . This of course is one mans opinion, take it or leave it all I ask is listen to the hole album once and I think you will agree in the collective that is rock and roll history this is one of the best albums sonically, musicly, well you understand just a masterpiece and wonderful to listen to. ONE MANS OPINION 😋
  • No Slash guitar sound to go with Axl’s voice=average album

The album is ok, it has hits and it has misses. But what hold it back is no Slash and Axl and Duff. They have their own unique sound and I have been a huge GNF’R fan since 1988.
