Timeless classic.

Drake makes R&B cuts that are so amazing on this album that makes you think that rapping is a side-job. Tracks like “Marvin’s Room”, “Doing It Wrong”, and “Shot For Me” are some tracks that exemplify why his cuts are so GOOD. While also making equivalently good Hip-Hop songs like “Lord Knows” with Rick Ross, “The Ride” with The Weeknd, and “Headlines” which is a satisfying blend of both R&B and Hip-Hop. The Beat Selection on this album is also outstanding, with every song’s beat creating a vibe that matches the song well. The Features did well, such as Lil Wayne who delivered solid performances on “HYFR”, “The Real Her”, and “The Motto”. I also like what Nicki Minaj added on “Make Me Proud” with witty bars and one liners. I wish Rick Ross had a longer verse on “Lord Knows” but his performance was solid as well. The Weeknd added so much to this album and I’m grateful for his contributions to this LP. Drake outdid himself here as this continues to be his greatest album ever released. Highly recommended purchase.

This album redefined introspective rap and blurred the line between hip-hop and R&B. The production is moody and immersive, and Drake’s vulnerability feels intentional rather than indulgent. Take Care set the emotional blueprint for an entire generation of artists.

Take Care is a fantastic album that is beautifully made and has many standouts. However, I still think Nothing Was The Same is his best album. Favorite tracks are Headlines, HYFR, Crew Love, Take Care, and The Motto.
