Staying at Tamara's

George Ezra proves once again why he is arguably one of the best male vocalists of this generation. While his debut was impressive, Staying at Tamara’s shows a deeper maturity, blending his signature soul-infused folk style with themes of escapism, anxiety, and the simple beauty of being present. The album is famous for its sunny, chart-topping hits like "Shotgun" and "Paradise," but the true heart of the record lies in its more introspective moments. "Only a Human" is easily one of my favorite tracks; it’s a stripped-back, poignant reminder of our shared flaws, carried entirely by Ezra’s remarkable, gravelly baritone. His voice has a "beyond his years" quality that feels incredibly grounding, especially on a track as vulnerable as this one.

Heres a bit of a lesson for the younger generation and those who think this song is about a weapon (It’s not). What the song ‘shotgun’ refers to is the front passenger seat (the seat next to the driver). For example when a group of friends would gather to go out and someone called out ‘Shotgun’ they meant the front passenger seat (not the gun/weapon) and the first person that called out ‘Shotgun’ usually got to sit in the front seat instead of sitting in the back seats. Sometimes even siblings would also do that when they went out with one parent the siblings would try to call ‘Shotgun’ first. What i am saying is it was a contest situation to see who would sit in the front seat instead of in the back (cause you see back then we didn’t have alot of ridiculousness/ Uncalled for of gun violence thats going on these past several years) So ‘Shotgun’ had a another meaning other then the name of a weapon. On another note I am also loving the song ‘Paradise’.

So where do I start A) George Ezra and Def Leppard are two completely different sounds. Sure you could make this sound like you, but it wouldn’t be nearly as good as George Ezra’s version. B) Please don’t come into iTunes to give a very talented artist a bad review to give yourself some publicity, you arrogant, greedy, piece of crap. (I still like your band but please don’t be a crap)
