Passenger's Best Album as a Whole

For me this is Passenger’s best album as a whole. There’s just something magical about the rawness and energy of the performances, the surprising instrumentation choices, and the variety of moods expressed. Take for example the beautifully etherial soundscape of “All The Little Lights”. Here carefully placed glockenspiel and bell sounds heighten the lyrical content of the song adding to the mix a dose of child like naiveté that is simultaneously subverted by heavy reverb and other audio effects added to the bell sounds. Like the other tracks on this album, this song has an incredibly well crafted arrangement that goes beyond the usual formulaic production choices for a singer-songwriter and takes many listens to fully absorb.
Although all the songs are great, the standouts on this album for me are “All The Little Lights”, “Circles”, “Things That Stop You Dreaming”, and “Let Her Go”.

This song by passenger is 1 good reason why me and my girlfriend have been together for 25 years and as the song by passenger says-I only need my lamp when it’s going low I only See the sun before it snows I won’t let Karen go
